Closer to Leaving!
Hello, Won't be long before I leave now. I still have a lot of things I have to get to before I leave. I'll have to make a list and start checking things off. I was on the jw.org site the other night. I've had the Spanish songs downloaded for quite awhile now. I went a little crazy and started downloading different languages that I thought would be neat to hear what they sound like. So I now have the Vocal 1, Sing to Jehovah in Norwegian, Pangasinan, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and of course English. They sound awesome in Thai! So anyway, things are going good. I was going through my pictures and I figured I would put some old ones on that I like.

Whats Happening
I will be buying my ticket back to Guyana in a few weeks. The dates I'm looking at are November to April. There is a Spanish class coming up. My brother Michael and his wife (also my best friend) Rebecca want to take the class. I hope it all goes well for them. I have decided not to take it. I am still going to continue attending the Tuesday meetings. I still want to learn Spanish, I just don't want to take the class when I am planning on going to Guyana and I won't be here to help them.

Spanish
I want to learn Spanish so I can help in that area when I am here at home. Tuesday night I went to my first Spanish meeting. I really enjoyed it, everyone was very welcoming and nice. I took Spanish for four years in school so I was able to recognize some words. Enough so that I wasn't completely lost and there were moments when I knew in general what they were saying. So I think it is possible.

School Bus
This entry has nothing to do with pioneering. Yesterday was my first day driving a school bus again since I got back. After the run, I was told to park it out back. So I was backing it into it's spot. For a split second while I was trying to straighten it at the last moment I wasn't watching the distance behind me and I hit the garage! I heard a window break and thought I had broke the one on the garage. When I looked back, the garage window was safe. I had taken out the back window of the bus!

Home for a Week
The trip home went smoothly. We had a 9 hour layover at JFK. We had lunch at Chili's and then spent the rest of the time reading magazines while waiting at our gate. I had to pay 5 dollars for water! We arrived in Buffalo at around 11 and our families took us to an all night diner. I got home at 2 AM. Saturday at 12:15 we had our pioneer meeting. I was able to have still a full week before returning to work. So I was able to go out in service every day but Thurday. We have 26 pioneers for May.
This song was found on my laptop once I was home.

Supposed to be posted two weeks ago!
Last night I was on the couch in our livingroom when Justina suddenly runs out of the bathroom doing the creepy dance. There was a tarantula in the bathroom! Big and black and fuzzy! I ended up walking down to get the guys to help while Justina stayed behind to make sure it stayed where it was. She was armed with a broom. We just knew we could not continue to let it be in the house and we couldn't deal with it ourselves either. In case you didn't know, I don't like spiders back home so you can imagine how much the ones here freak me out! Last night was very dark so on the walk down there I couldn't see anything past my flashlight. It was nine thirty and I was really hoping the guys were still up. If not I would have woke them up if only for the reason that I was not walking back alone. Not to mention that the tarantula needed to get out! The guys came up with the plan to chop it in half. In the end they ended up spraying it with Baygon. So it was drowned in bug spray. Justina got it all recorded on her camera. It is the best short film ever! Really creepy in the moment but one of the best stories we are going home with! Today I had the study with Janice. Awesome study! I wish I wasn't leaving next week so I could continue it but I'm going to see if Doris will since Janice mentioned she studied with her before she got sick. She really wants to learn! She has been reading her Bible Teach book by herself. Today started the last of everything.

I'm sorry I am not very faithful in posting things. Today was a short day for us. Neither of our studies were there. However when I went to the shop where Alana works, there was a girl named Janice there. She told me Alana was in Georgetown but asked if I would study with her. So I'm going back Wednesday. I wish she would have come around 7 weeks ago. I have to leave here in only 10 days. We are both sad to leave and plan on returning again.

On Our Own
Justina and I have only two weeks left here in Guyana. The time has gone by very quickly. We are constantly seeing geckos running along the walls of our apartment. We are doing good on our own. I had a cold that I am getting over and now Justina seems to be getting one. We are definately busy. After Terri left we divided up her studies. I now study with Beatrice, Reah, Ozlynn, Iona, Colleen, Leslynn, Nicola, Jennifer, Alana, Gwendolyn, Doreen, and Sonia. Justina studies with Jillian, Yvonne, Simmone, Coretta, Senifa, Shaneza, Arlene, Margaret, Latoya, Latesha, and Sharon. I'm sure some names are misspelled. It's been quite rainy her for the last three days. Our clothes were washed on Monday and they still aren't dry because they keep getting rained on.

In Guyana for 3 weeks
Well Justina and I have now been in Guyana for three weeks. We are enjoying the experience. When we arrived we met and stayed at the home of a need greater couple named John and Elizabeth. They lived along a waterfront so that is where the picture of Justina was taken. We were given a tour of the branch while in Georgetown. The first few days in Matthews Ridge were wonderful to see everybody again and they all remembered me. Shandrena even hugged me and said ,"You came back! You came back to see auntie Shandrena!" We were given a handful of studies right away. Our studies names are Colleen, Coretta, Jennifer, Nicola, Sonifa, Leslynn, Ozlynn, Arlene, Alana, and Simmone. When we don't have our own studies we go with others (mainly Terri) on thiers. Wednesdays are field service days. I have gone to areas of the territory that I never saw last year. We are becomeing addicted to carbonated junk in a way we never are back home.
Here's a story of one day when we were in our hammocks. We are set up where there is a bench between each of our hammocks. I was swinging in mine. Justina made the remark that it would probably break right before it did. I was swinging so high that when the hood broke I was flung over the bench and almost on Justina. I was on the ground next to her before I even realized what happened. I actually fell quite gracefully. I cant believe I didn't hit the bench. I was laughing so hard no sound was coming out.
One sunday morning Terri wasn't feeling well and I did her reading class for her after the meeting. I have learned how to say "good friend" in Carib. Last week Andrew, Jonathan and Jared arrived. Stephan left yesterday, he is moving to Peru.
We hiked to the falls on tuesday. 2 hours away. It was fun. My camera fell in the water. Luckily it is still working after it has dried out.
So we are having fun. The pictures I wanted on are Jonathan studying with Jr, Justina at the waterfront, Me out in service, Justina and I at Jr's, and me with a bush cow while going with Mary to her studies. Love to all my family!
